Day 5

Bicheno

We left early and started at 'The Bay of Fires' so called because of the red in the rocks. A lot of fishing going on and some very harsh landscape

On the way to Bicheno we stopped in at   Dunes which is a Hooded Plover rookery. (When they say Dunes they really mean Dunes) There is nothing like climbing up and down sandunes for the morning. We did see some of these birds and a very nice beach.

"Tim and Janine do not read"

The pancakes from here are huge and they say the best in Australia and we believe them ( not including Tim's of course). They are about 40cm long and filled with whatever you want.

After booking into our Motel we went on the Penguin tour. This was OK but it was certainly a busness as 1 bus picks people up another is dropping another load off.
